Social Responsiblities
Orange Groups have touched the lives of many Nigerians directly and indirectly through sponsoring some events for the Public and charity works by the Office of the Queen of Delta soaps. The Chairman has equally financed lots of projects for the Public through his non Governmental Organization, Tony Ezenna Foundation (TEF).
Some of the projects done by Orange Groups include:
Boska football competition: Orange Drugs, in collaboration with some Associations in some parts of the Federation organizes a football competition for the youths. In Lagos state, we organize this competition in conjunction with the Lagos Divisional Football Association (LDFA) yearly and the first edition took place in 2007. 128 teams participate annually with the winner going home with N300,000, second N200,000, third N300,000 with lots of other prizes and awards.
In Kano, we organize a similar football competition in conjunction with African Youths Sports Federation (AYSOF) and 128 teams equally participate annually. Prizes are the same like that in Lagos state and first edition was in 2009.
Same is applicable to Onitsha, Anambra state where we organize it in collaboration with Anambra state Football Association. Prizes are also the same and first edition was in 2010 with the same number of teams taken place at the event.
Medik-55 Traffic Points: Orange Groups in conjunction with Kalbe Pharma has constructed over 200 Traffic points for the Police in Lagos, Ibadon, Onitsha etc
Passion Arm wrestling competition: This was created in October, 2008 to become a yearly competition. The first edition took place in Ado Bayero Square, Kano with lots of fantastic prizes won.
Passion Dambe (local wrestling) competition: Equally started in October, 2008 and second edition took place in May, 2009 while the last edition was in June 2010. This event takes place in Kano and it has lots of wonderful prizes attached to it.
Pet Project by Miss Delta Soap 2008/2009: In December 2008, the then Miss Delta Soap, Miss Amaka Echendu visited the Imo state Prisons; Orlu Cheshire home, Imo state; Mortherless Babies home, Akokwa, Imo state; motherless babies home Nnewi and that in Awka as well. She gave them a wonderful Christmas package with food stuff and clothings.
